Alabama Woman Charged with Capital Murder After Running Over Father of Her Children

Police call it a "domestic-related homicide"; one child may have witnessed the deadly incident

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A 30-year-old Alabama woman, Shatice Jackson, has been charged with capital murder following the death of Mickese Bostic, the father of her children, in what authorities are calling a domestic-related homicide.

According to the Birmingham Police Department, the incident occurred on April 20 after a heated argument between the two at Bostic’s Easter Sunday party. Witnesses say Jackson returned to the scene after the dispute and intentionally ran over Bostic, pinning him between her car and his neighbor's house. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Children Caught in the Tragedy

Police confirmed that Jackson and Bostic share children, and at least one child may have been present during the deadly confrontation.

"The vehicle struck Bostic and collided with the home," the police report stated.

Jackson was arrested and booked into jail with no bond, per the official statement. She appeared briefly in court on April 23, but the hearing was postponed to give her attorney time to file the proper paperwork.

Investigation Continues

This tragic case adds to the ongoing concerns over domestic violence and its devastating impact on families and children. Investigators continue to gather evidence and witness accounts.
